[2012], PubMed 22991463) to analyze gene activity in the AWC[on] chemosensory neurons of Caenorhabditis elegans, defined by their expressing the G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) gene str-2 in a laterally asymmetrical manner (Troemel et al. [1999], PubMed 10571181).
