Description
This study evaluated the transcriptomic profiles of Arabidopsis thaliana (Col-0) plants grown along four SynCom treatments that induced differential primary root growth. Treatments Dropout Variovorax and DropoutVariovoraxBurkholderia induced primary root growth inhibition (RGI), while treatments Full and DropoutBurkholderia mantained a stereotypical long primary root. Overall design: All seeds were surface-sterilized with 70% bleach, 0.2% Tween-20 for 8?min, and rinsed three times with sterile distilled water to eliminate any seed-borne microbes on the seed surface. Seeds were stratified at 4 °C in the dark for two days. Plants were germinated on vertical square 10 X 10 cm agar plates with JM containing 0.5% sucrose, for 7 days. Then, 10 plants were transferred to each of the bacteria-inoculated agar plates containg JM without sucrose RNA-seq of Arabidopsis thaliana seedlings growing axenically, or in the presence of different bacterial Synthetic Community treatments that induced different root morphology
