Description
This study identified HOS15, a protein with a WD40-repeat, as an interactor with the HDA9-PWR histone deacetalyse complex. HOS15 has an essential role in controlling HDA9-specific gene expression and development. Overall design: Immunopreciptation and mass spectrometry of epitope-tagged expressed transgenes (HDA9, PWR, and HOS15) confirmed all interact with one another in vivo. Genetic analysis of mutant combinations suggest each member is indispensible for the complex's molecular and physiological functions.
