Description
This study is intended to use RNA-seq data generated from a synthetic Brassica napus F2 population as well as their parents for QTL and eQTL analysis. Brassica napus is one of the most important oilseed crops worldwide producing multi-purpose oil for food and biofuel. Understand the control of B. napus oil content, oil composition, and growth including flowering time, plant height, etc. is important for molecular breeding. This study attempts to identify causative candidate genes for fatty acid composition and different growth-related traits.
