OCaR1, a gatekeeper of lysosomal and granular Ca2+ release and regulated exocytosis

Organism Icon Mus musculus
Sample Icon No Downloadable Samples
Technology Badge IconIllumina HiSeq 2000

Submitter Supplied Information

Description
During exocytosis, a Ca2+ increase arises in close vicinity of secretory granules which is strictly prevented in resting cells. Granular Ca2+ homeostasis and its role in granular exocytosis are not well understood. Overall design: Comparison of male wild type (C57Bl6/N) and OCaR1–/– mice. RNA was isolated from the pancreas of three 3 weeks old male wild type (C57Bl6/N) and OCaR1–/– mice, respectively, using TRIZOL reagent (Thermo Fisher Scientific, Germany).
