Description
In response to feeding by Guatemalan tuber moths (Tecia solanivora) larvae, some Solanum tuberosum (potato) varieties exhibit an overcompensation response, whereby uninfested tubers on infested plants become larger and yield is increased relative to control plants. We sequenced the transcriptome of Pastusa Suprema, an overcompensating Colombian potato variety, in order to gain more insight into the molecular mechanisms of overcompensation in the Pastusa Suprema potato variety.
