Description
This Brachypodium distachyon gene expression atlas was designed to be useful in studying cell wall formation by carefully selecting tissues that include cell wall elongation, primary cell wall maturation, and secondary cell wall formation. In total RNA-seq data was obtained from 38 individual stages, which have been assayed in triplicate. To increase the usefulness of this expression data we have characterized the tissues used for RNA-seq by determining the quantity of structural carbohydrates and lignin along with a series of other cell wall analysis. To aid in the interpretation of this very large amount of data we are entering our data into a public and online searchable database.
