Description
The aim of this project is to elucidate cellular and molecular mechanism of androgen and estrogen influence on the regulatory network involved in the process of early folliculogenesis within neonatal porcine ovary. The Specific Objective of this project is to investigate the effect of the compounds with androgenic/antiandrogenic and estrogenic/antiestrogenic activity on the early stages of follicle development in neonatal porcine ovaries. Our research hypothesis was that the balance between androgens and estrogens level is indispensable during neonatal follicles formation and transition to the primary stage.
