We demonstrate that ESR activation upon stress cannot be simply explained by cell cycle distribution or growth arrest. We further study translation regulations under cel cycle arrested condition and  upon stress via polysome-seq. Overall design: RNA-seq, polysome-seq and transcriptome analysis of yeasts. Biological replicates were perfomed.

For RNA-seq: RNA was extracted with hot phenol protocol; RNA was rRNA-depleted with Epicentre's Ribo-Zero rRNA Removal Kit (Human/Mouse/Rat). For polysome-seq: RNA was extraced with phenol and choloform mixture; RNA was rRNA-depleted with illumina TruSeq Stranded Total RNA library Prep Kit. cDNA library was prepared with Epicentre's Script-seq V2 H/M/R Complete Kit (Human/Mouse/Rat) for RNA-seq samples, or  illumina TruSeq Stranded Total RNA library Prep Kit for polysome-seq samples
