Description
An increasing number of researchers are focusing on the nutrition effects on growth and development in early age. Malnutrition and undernutrition (e.g., protein, mineral or vitamin), especially during the “critical window” (fetal and early neonatal period) of development generate a profound influence on the expression of the genome. In addition, the development of Next Generation Sequencing biotechnology ushered in the age of Big Data in life sciences, which provided a useful method to explore the relationship between nutrition and genetic expression. In this study, changes in liver transcriptional response to protein deficiency and subsequent compensation of lambs was investigated to reveal the regulatory mechanism of protein on the growth and development of young ruminants.
