Description
We sequenced mRNA from shoot and root of 13 days old seedlings of heat tolerant (Nagina 22) and susceptible (Vandana) cultivars of Oryza sativa to analyze heat responsive transcriptome. Seedlings were kept at control temperature (30?C/24?C, day/night) as well as treated with high temperature (42?C/36?C, day/night) for short (24h) and long duration (5 days). To get the recovery samples, high temperature treated seedlings were shifted back to control temperature for 24 h. Sixteen RNA libraries were constructed using the total RNA isolated from control shoot, control root, short duration stress (SDS) shoot, SDS root, long duration stress (LDS) shoot, LDS root, recovery shoot, and recovery root tissues of both the cultivars.
