Description
Biological innovations have been considered to be drive by functional and transcriptional divergence between copies after gene duplication events. Here we present the exhaustive analysis of transcriptional plasticity of S. cerevisiae when challenged with five different environmental stresses. Our results highlight the role of natural selection in the transcriptional plasticity of duplicated genes, that allows the rise of adaptations.
