Description
In this paper, we employed the Illumina Genome Analyzer platform to firstly perform a Digital Gene Expression analysis of the BMEC differential gene expression profiling response to Staphylococcus aureus infection. The comprehensive analysis of the infected cells response induced by three different virulence S.aureus strains suggested that highly toxic strains can stimulate immune, wounding and inflammatory response while low virulence can stimulate cell cycle progression and the lower immune response than highly toxic strains. The analysis of transcriptional changes in cells undergoing Staphylococcus aureus infection provides new clues into S. aureus–BMEC interaction. Our findings may also have a better understanding about different virulence S.aureus strains infection in BMECs and have new implications in the S.aureus mastitis.
